Compensation Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Compensation Consultant to join our Taiwan Career team at Mercer Career Business in Taipei. This hybrid position requires at least three days per week in the office and focuses on driving growth of the Taiwan Career business while serving as the primary client contact for rewards consulting projects.

Key responsibilities

• Act as day‑to‑day point of contact for clients, identifying needs and providing tailored HR and risk‑management recommendations.
• Manage end‑to‑end project workflow, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery of compensation benchmarking, job evaluation, incentive design and salary‑structure development.
• Analyze client data, extract insights and translate findings into clear narratives and recommendations.
• Lead or support preparation of client presentations and reports using models and benchmarks.
• Coordinate internal project teams, lead meetings, track deliverables and monitor scope changes.
• Supervise and review work of junior consultants, ensuring data validation and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Psychology, Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HR consulting, internal HR/rewards or client‑facing professional services.
• Proven experience managing or supporting rewards‑related projects such as compensation benchmarking, job evaluation, incentive design or salary‑structure development.
• Strong knowledge of total rewards concepts, compensation strategy, benchmarking, job architecture and pay‑for‑performance design.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
