Business Unit Director, Immunology

About the role

The Business Unit Director (BUD) for Immunology will lead AbbVie Taiwan’s assigned business unit, holding full P&L responsibility and shaping long‑term growth while delivering short‑term commercial excellence. Reporting to the General Manager, Taiwan, the BUD is a key member of the Affiliate Leadership Team and partners with regional and global therapeutic area leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the unit’s long‑term strategy aligned with global priorities and local market realities.
• Translate market, policy, and scientific insights into actionable business plans that expand access and maximize portfolio value.
• Lead portfolio optimization across multiple brands and indications throughout the product lifecycle.
• Own full P&L, ensure disciplined resource allocation, and provide robust financial forecasting.
• Deliver high‑impact product launches with cross‑functional alignment.
• Integrate analytics and field insights into decision‑making and performance management.
• Build and sustain partnerships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, patient organizations, and payers.
• Represent AbbVie externally as a thought leader and shape policy and access environments.
• Lead, inspire, and develop a diverse commercial organization spanning sales, marketing, and cross‑functional roles.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong strategic vision with the ability to execute operational plans.
• Demonstrated success in managing full P&L responsibility.
• Excellent stakeholder management and external partnership skills.
• Ability to lead high‑performing, cross‑functional teams.
