Business Controller

About the role

Air Liquide Far Eastern (ALFE), a joint venture between Air Liquide and Far Eastern New Century Group established in 1987, is looking for a Business Controller in Neihu District, Taiwan. The role provides country management with financial and non-financial information to understand current business performance and forecast its evolution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct business analysis to evaluate financial performance and identify trends for entity and cluster management
• Develop performance forecasts based on economic indicators, asset utilization, production versus demand and client activity, and turn them into actionable objectives and KPIs
• Produce monthly flash reports and quarterly OIVA, working closely with the Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial statements
• Carry out cross-functional analyses such as gross margin, profitability by customer, pricing evolution, Helium reporting and efficiencies
• Review with the Investment Control team the status of major projects and the impact of SUP/RUP
• Monitor gaps against targets, identify corrective actions and manage landing
• Lead (re)forecasting and planning exercises (RF1, RF2, RF3, target, mid-term planning) and prepare management presentations, board meetings and business reviews

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a relevant field
• 3+ years of solid business analysis experience, preferably in a similar industry
• Understanding of products, customers, markets and solutions
• Fluent Mandarin and English
