Associate Officer - Fund Administration (Global Fund Administration)

About the role

AllianceBernstein is hiring an Associate Officer for its Fund Administration team in Global Technology & Operations, based in Taipei. The Taiwan Fund Administration team handles fund accounting and administrative services for the Taiwan organization, covering fixed interest, equity, alternative investments, blends, multi-asset strategies and derivatives, and oversees daily net asset value (NAV) calculations and regulatory and client reporting. The role suits someone with mutual fund accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outsourced vendors and CPA-qualified oversight relationships
• Drive process improvement and provide global fund administration consulting
• Support stakeholders with fund, ETF and DIM account inquiries
• Oversee fund administration, including NAV calculations, dividend income processing, tax implications for local Taiwan funds, financial, regulatory and tax reporting, and audit coordination
• Promote corporate initiatives such as fund structuring, launches, mergers and complex matters for Taiwan funds
• Collaborate with Taiwan and global business units, and support the growth of the ETF business in Taiwan
• Implement and oversee procedures and agreed service levels so services are accurate and timely
• Identify problems and resolve them

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund administration or equivalent
• Fluent in both English and Mandarin
• SITE license
• Experience in the mutual fund industry; ETF experience preferred

Required skills

• Proficiency in fund accounting and administration
• Knowledge of tax issues, Taiwan regulations, financial reporting and spreadsheet use
• Strong vendor management, problem-solving, coordination, analytical, communication and organizational skills
• Deep risk and compliance mindset and sound understanding of regulations
• Proficiency in standard desktop applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
