Associate Accountant

About the role

Medtronic is seeking an Associate Accountant to apply accounting principles, analyze financial information, and prepare internal and external reports. This entry‑level position supports the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with policies.

Key responsibilities

• Applies accounting principles to analyze financial data and prepares internal and external financial reports.
• Maintains control of accounts and records for disbursements, expenses, tax payments and income.
• Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and verify accuracy.
• Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow statements and consolidates financial statements.
• Designs, modifies, installs, or maintains accounting systems to ensure proper transaction recognition.
• Ensures adherence to accounting and auditing policies, internal controls, and may support month‑end close.

Required profile

• Broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.
• Baccalaureate degree (or equivalent foreign degree meeting U.S. requirements).
