Accountant – AP, Fixed Assets, Payroll & VAT Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the full cycle of accounts payable, fixed‑asset accounting, payroll processing and VAT compliance. The role works closely with product managers, global finance teams and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting in line with GAAP and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Enter invoices and source data promptly into the accounting system.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, focusing on intercompany balances each month.
• Manage accounts payable: verify vendor invoices, reconcile statements, prepare journal vouchers and schedule payments.
• Oversee asset capitalization, tagging, depreciation, and IFRS 16 lease accounting.
• Handle end‑to‑end payroll calculation, salary disbursement and labor/health insurance processing.
• Execute bi‑monthly VAT filing and annual withholding tax compliance.
• Review employee expenses in SAP Concur and act as system administrator.
• Conduct periodic parts inventory counts, variance analysis and reconciliations.
• Liaise with counterparts in the US, APAC and Europe and support external audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 2–3+ years of hands‑on experience in AP, fixed assets, inventory accounting or payroll.
• Basic English reading ability for business correspondence.
• Solid understanding of Taiwan tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax) and lease accounting principles.
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong logical thinking and excellent communication skills.

Required skills

• Practical experience with tier‑1 ERP systems – Oracle or SAP (especially AP, Asset or Inventory modules).
• Advanced Excel functions.
• SAP Concur expense management.
• Knowledge of IFRS 16 lease accounting.
