Regional Communications, PR and Marketing

About the role

The Regional Communications, PR and Marketing professional will develop and implement integrated communications projects across the region, acting as a trusted partner to business teams and enhancing Applied Materials’ reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications projects and cross‑functional initiatives, serving as a trusted communications partner to business and functional teams.
• Manage agency partnerships, communications budgets, and end‑to‑end execution across earned, shared, and owned channels, including PR, social media, digital marketing, and website content.
• Translate communications strategies into impactful brand, employee‑engagement, and communications programs that deliver measurable results.
• Advise and support local leadership on strategic communications and messaging, acting as an ambassador of the Applied Materials brand.
• Manage community programs such as nonprofit partnerships, grantmaking, reporting, and employee volunteer initiatives.
• Oversee the development and management of strategic communications assets to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with brand and business priorities.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in corporate, brand, or internal communications; semiconductor or display sector experience preferred.
• Strong command and fluency in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or related field.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong judgment, project‑management, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams and lead initiatives from strategy to execution.
• Preferred: digital savvy with experience using data and analytics to measure communications effectiveness and optimize content.
