Operations Operator – Plant Monitoring & Control

About the role

The Operations Operator ensures safe and efficient running of plant processes at the Hsin Chu facility. Working under the Control Room Operator or Shift Supervisor, you will monitor, record, and adjust plant equipment to maintain optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and record plant instrumentation data, identifying variances from operating standards.
• Adjust equipment and respond to instructions from the Control Room Operator to maintain proper parameters.
• Perform minor maintenance and corrective actions on equipment, including oil, air, heater, steam, and leak issues.
• Operate plant vehicles and machinery such as trucks, cranes, and forklifts.
• Conduct chemical tests on water and steam systems to ensure steam quality.
• Assist the maintenance team with equipment testing and support maintenance activities on a part‑time basis.
• Report unsafe conditions and adhere to all site EHS regulations.

Required profile

• College degree or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in a power‑plant operating environment.
• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts.
• Conversational proficiency in English.

Required skills

• Instrumentation monitoring and data recording.
• Experience with computer‑based or microprocessor control systems.
• Chemical testing of water and steam systems.
• Operation of plant equipment such as trucks, cranes, and forklifts.
• Data plotting and maintaining operating records.
