Faculty Position in Spatial Information (GeoAI & Spatial Data Science)

About the role

The Department of Land Economics seeks a full‑time faculty member to strengthen teaching and research in spatial information, GeoAI, and urban‑environmental spatial analysis. The appointment is at the Assistant Professor level or above.

Key responsibilities

• Teach three undergraduate courses each year, covering topics such as GeoAI for Spatial Data Science, Computational Methods for GeoAI, Urban‑Environmental Spatial Analysis, and Climate Risk, with at least one course delivered in English.
• Teach one graduate‑level course annually on subjects like Climate Risk Analysis, Spatial Analysis for Sustainable Urban Development, or GeoAI Applications, taught in English.
• Conduct interdisciplinary research in GeoAI, spatial data science, or dynamic analysis of urban and environmental spaces, contributing to national space technology policy and climate adaptation initiatives.

Required profile

• PhD degree in a relevant discipline.
• Expertise in at least one of the following areas: GeoAI, spatial data science, or dynamic urban‑environmental spatial analysis.
• Demonstrated record of interdisciplinary research and effective teaching at the university level.

Required skills

• Proficiency in GeoAI concepts and computational methods for spatial data.
• Experience with spatial analysis, climate risk assessment, and urban‑environmental modeling.
