Data Center Operations Manager

About the role

Amazon’s AWS Infrastructure Services designs, builds and operates the global AWS data center network. The Data Center Operations Manager leads a team of technicians to ensure reliable, secure and cost‑effective operation of servers, storage, networking, power and cooling equipment across Amazon’s data centers.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, develop, and manage a team of Data Center Technicians, overseeing individual and team performance.
• Lead troubleshooting of systems, hardware and network device issues.
• Manage data‑center operations including ticket queues, 24/7 shift scheduling and hardware logistics.
• Drive process improvements, technology innovation and automation.
• Monitor and meet operational KPIs and metrics.
• Coordinate outage response, act as call leader based on severity.
• Continuously improve customer experience and service quality.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of change, problem and incident management.
• Strong presentation, discussion and coaching communication skills.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• Understanding of financial budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts.
• At least 2 years of people‑management experience in the IT industry.
