Associate Application Consultant – 2026 Campus Hire

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for recent graduates to join its 2026 Campus Hire program as Associate Application Consultants. In this role you will help clients adopt and integrate modern applications across cloud, cybersecurity, DevOps, enterprise systems and AI/ML, working closely with IBM teams and client personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Advise client project teams on enterprise‑wide data integrations and application selection.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IBM and client teams to gather functional requirements and design solutions.
• Participate in design activities from requirements analysis through system and process specification.
• Assist in the implementation of cloud applications, secure DevSecOps or AI/ML pipelines, including vulnerability management and container security.
• Work in agile, cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative, scalable technology solutions.

Required profile

• Foundational programming skills in Java.Net, SQL, XML, Python, JavaScript, React/Next.js, Node.js.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and comfort with ambiguous problems.
• Ability to manage dynamic workloads in an agile environment.
• Less than 1 year of full‑time work experience.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Object‑oriented analysis and design (OOAD).
• HTML, XML, and JavaScript frameworks (React, Next.js, Node.js).
• Relational databases: MS SQL, Oracle, Db2, PostgreSQL.
• Agile development methodologies.
