APAC Tax Lead – 6-12 Month Contract

About the role

Binance is seeking an experienced tax professional to lead all tax matters across the Asia‑Pacific region on a 6‑12 month contract basis. You will act as the primary liaison for tax compliance, advisory, and strategic initiatives, supporting the company’s rapid growth in the blockchain and digital‑asset space.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for all tax issues in the APAC region.
• Ensure high‑quality tax compliance by coordinating with local teams and external advisors.
• Provide internal tax advisory on international, direct, indirect, corporate, and personal taxation, including transaction structuring and new product launches.
• Identify and implement tax optimisation opportunities in alignment with global tax strategy.
• Manage relationships, queries, audits, disputes and litigation with local tax authorities.
• Monitor evolving tax legislation, especially crypto‑related regulations, and advise the business accordingly.
• Lead ad‑hoc tax projects and initiatives across the region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Economics or Taxation.
• Minimum 12 years of tax experience, preferably in a Big 4 firm or as an in‑house practitioner.
• Proven track record as a tax leader in the Asia‑Pacific region, focusing on operations and compliance.
• Fast learner, highly adaptable to a fast‑paced environment and capable of working independently in a remote setup.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong teamwork orientation.
