Senior Oracle Database Consultant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Database Senior Consultant to join Infosys in Taipei City. The role involves managing and optimizing Oracle database environments for our clients, ensuring high availability and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, monitor and maintain Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) including installation, configuration, patching and upgrades.
• Perform backup, recovery, cloning and disaster‑recovery tasks using RMAN, Data Guard and other replication technologies.
• Conduct performance tuning, capacity planning and security hardening for Oracle RAC and ASM environments.
• Troubleshoot incidents, analyse root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure and development teams to optimise database performance and availability.
• Automate routine operations using Shell, Python or SQL scripts.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle Database technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.

Required skills

• Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard, Performance Tuning, SQL/PLSQL.
• Oracle Database versions 11g, 12c, 19c.
• Linux/Unix administration and shell scripting.
• Automation using Shell, Python or SQL.
• Familiarity with OCI, AWS RDS Oracle or Azure Oracle workloads (preferred).
• Exposure to PostgreSQL, MySQL or SQL Server (preferred).
• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification (preferred).
