Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

At FunNow we build joyful, on‑demand experiences for millions of users across Asia. As a Site Reliability Engineer you will keep the platform fast, resilient and secure, using AI‑driven automation, Kubernetes tuning and modern DevOps practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust architectures to improve availability, scalability and service quality.
• Maintain and optimise Kubernetes clusters (EKS/GKE), handling resource pressure and node anomalies.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) to boost engineering efficiency.
• Set up and continuously refine monitoring and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager).
• Participate in incident response, problem investigation and system audits.
• Implement security best‑practices such as IAM, permission management and encrypted storage.

Required skills

• Container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (deployment, scheduling, resource management).
• Cloud platforms: AWS services (ECS, EKS, S3, CloudFront, IAM, VPC) – primary cloud used.
• CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD (or GitLab CI).
• Databases: MySQL administration and performance analysis.
• Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, CloudWatch, ELK/EFK.
• Search: Elasticsearch cluster maintenance.
• Version control: Git and basic Git flow.
• Infrastructure‑as‑Code: Terraform, AWS CDK (desirable).
• Programming: exposure to Golang (desirable).
