Medical Excellence Lead – Hong Kong & Taiwan

About the role

The Medical Excellence Lead for Hong Kong and Taiwan will drive medical operational excellence, enhance patient solutions, and establish best‑in‑class medical practices across the region. This strategic leadership position serves as the operational backbone of medical affairs, ensuring seamless execution of medical strategies while fostering innovation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Establish operational frameworks for medical activities such as medical information, scientific communications, advisory boards, and investigator‑initiated studies.
• Lead cross‑functional medical project management, implementing governance structures for prioritisation, resource optimisation, and timely delivery.
• Standardise medical processes across Hong Kong and Taiwan, enhancing efficiency, compliance and quality outcomes.
• Oversee medical budget planning and resource allocation to maximise impact.
• Champion medical excellence initiatives, evidence generation, and thought‑leadership positioning.
• Develop frameworks for local real‑world evidence studies, investigator‑sponsored research and publication strategies.
• Build medical capability programmes covering scientific communication, medical writing, data analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Drive digital transformation and innovation in medical operations to improve HCP engagement and patient outcomes.
• Implement quality‑assurance systems ensuring regulatory and internal compliance.
• Manage patient support programmes, addressing access barriers, affordability and treatment adherence.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with extensive experience in medical affairs or medical operations within the pharmaceutical/healthcare sector.
• Proven track record of managing cross‑functional projects and budgets across multiple markets.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, industry codes and quality‑assurance standards.
• Experience in evidence generation, real‑world data studies and scientific publication processes.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational change.
