Global Software Support Engineer II

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials engineering solutions, is seeking a Global Software Support Engineer II to join its team in Taichung, Taiwan. The role involves providing software support for equipment applications, collaborating with customers and internal teams to resolve issues, and contributing to product improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and collaborate to resolve equipment software application and system issues of moderate complexity, including high‑value problems, systemic bugs, or software failures.
• Provide customer software support through the Software Ticketing system.
• Deliver timely updates and reports to stakeholders on key software issues, aligning with group objectives.
• Create, test, and verify Software Change Notifications and Key Feature Procedures.
• Participate in developing customer‑focused documentation for external software features.
• Contribute to equipment software specification, design, testing, and documentation reviews for customer requests.
• Assist in training junior engineers and detailed product operation.
