Application Engineer – Message Bus Systems

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Application Engineer to design, develop, test, and support Message Bus products used in semiconductor and display manufacturing. The role involves close collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure successful product delivery and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and document Message Bus products.
• Provide production support, product delivery, and CIM project assistance.
• Organize meetings across all product and project lifecycle phases.
• Participate in documentation reviews and customer training for sales and marketing.
• Stay current with new technologies through classes, seminars, and conferences.
• Maintain compliance with department and company quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial or information engineering.
• Experience configuring Message Bus systems in a production semiconductor environment (preferably 300 mm backend).
• Expert knowledge of Message Bus technologies such as Apache Pulsar, Tibco RV, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, and MSMQ.
• Proficiency in C++, C#, web programming, and SQL.
• At least two years of team development and software engineering experience.
