Assistant Banquet Manager

About the role

The Assistant Banquet Manager supports the Banquet Manager in delivering high‑quality food and beverage service for events and functions. This onsite role ensures smooth operations, guest satisfaction, and compliance with hotel standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform presentation for all staff.
• Answer guest inquiries about hotel facilities promptly and courteously.
• Handle guest complaints, report incidents to management, and ensure timely resolution.
• Enforce hotel policies, health & safety regulations, licensing laws, and fire evacuation procedures.
• Provide leadership, training, scheduling, and performance appraisals for banquet team members.
• Plan menus, pricing, and promotional events to maximize revenue.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and maintenance of function areas.
• Oversee cashiering, billing accuracy, and inventory control.
• Conduct departmental orientation, side‑work schedules, and disciplinary procedures in line with Mandarin Oriental standards.
