VIE Support Technique Produits NFC – Taipei, Taiwan

About the role

STMicroelectronics is looking for a VIE (International Volunteering) to provide technical support for its NFC product portfolio in Taipei, Taiwan. The role involves assisting customers in evaluating, integrating and deploying secure NFC solutions for smartphones and wearable devices.

Key responsibilities

• Support customers in debugging trace logs, testing tools and production environments.
• Review customer device integration, including schematics, layout and antenna design.
• Perform pre‑certification of devices against standards such as FeliCa, NFC Forum and EMVCo.
• Assist customers with system start‑up, integration and deployment at the Android system level.
• Maintain and troubleshoot test and production equipment.

Required profile

• Professional proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex hardware/software issues.
• Experience working with customers and documenting technical solutions.
• Team‑oriented mindset and good communication abilities.

Required skills

• Laboratory instrumentation: oscilloscope, network analyzer, signal generator, power supplies, soldering station, logic analyzer.
• Android ecosystem knowledge and scripting in Python.
• Interface protocols: I²C, SPI.
• In‑depth understanding of NFC technologies (Type A, B, F, V, read/write, POS, passive cards, CE).
• Familiarity with NFC standards: EMVCo, NFC Forum, FeliCa.
