Test Engineer - ATE / Mixed Signal

About the role

Renesas Electronics, an embedded semiconductor solution provider, is looking for a Test Engineer in Hukou. The role covers mixed-signal test methodology, ATE test hardware and software development, silicon debugging and test time reduction, working closely with design, DFT, product and quality engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Define mixed-signal test methodologies and generate effective test coverage.
• Develop reliable ATE test hardware and software, debug silicon and publish test results.
• Build ATE production test capability with low cost, high yield, high throughput and high quality.
• Support fast time-to-market and time-to-volume, and release qualified test hardware and software on time for samples and backlogs.
• Reduce test time and support product engineers in yield improvement to improve gross margin and throughput.
• Support reliability testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (minimum).
• 2 years of ATE experience.
• Test development experience with Cohu DMDX (strongly preferred).
• Written and spoken English is essential.
• Semiconductor automotive knowledge is an advantage.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of IC test flow and IC test methodologies, and IC test coverage generation.
• C language, Visual Basic and Excel Macros.
• PCB design proficiency for ATE test hardware.
• Familiarity with ATE calibration, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Moderate computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint (required); programming in Visual Basic or C++ preferred.
