Stamping Mold Design Engineer

About the role

BizLink is looking for a Stamping Mold Design Engineer to lead the design and development of precision molds and fixtures. You will work closely with production teams to optimise designs, resolve manufacturing defects and define material specifications for new projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new molds, fixtures and stamping tools, and improve existing designs.
• Coordinate mold and fixture development, verifying product specifications throughout the development phase.
• Support production departments with technical improvements and troubleshoot manufacturing defects or product issues.
• Provide professional technical expertise across departments as assigned.
• Determine and finalise material specifications for new mold projects.
• Participate in internal and external training to continuously enhance technical skills.
• Execute ad‑hoc tasks and assignments directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma, associate, bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold design and development.
• Basic proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
• Practical experience in mold repair, assembly and trial‑run improvements is preferred.
• Strong bench work and manual fitting abilities are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software – AutoCAD 3D and PTC Creo Elements/Direct.
• Demonstrated skills in mold design, fabrication, maintenance and refinement.
• Experience operating machining equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, drilling machines and EDM.
