Graduate Field Applications Engineer (FAE)

About the role

The Graduate Field Applications Engineer will provide technical support for analog and mixed‑signal devices, work closely with sales to drive design wins, and collaborate across product and engineering teams to deliver customer solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical customer support including device selection, schematic review, design implementation and troubleshooting of hardware, firmware and system‑level issues.
• Partner with sales teams to identify design opportunities, promote Renesas product portfolios, reference designs and solution offerings, and present technical capabilities to win designs.
• Collaborate with product marketing, design engineering, quality and operations teams, deliver customer feedback for future product development and support new product introductions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Understanding of signal conditioning, power sequencing and ability to read schematics, component datasheets and specifications.
• Experience troubleshooting signal‑integrity and noise problems and working with digital interfaces such as I²C, I³C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe and USB.

Required skills

• I²C, I³C, SPI, UART, GPIO, PCIe, USB interfaces.
• Altium Designer (nice to have).
• MCU integration (nice to have).
• Power electronics knowledge (nice to have).
