Staff Product Designer (Marketplace)

About the role

Coupang is expanding its business into the Taiwan e-commerce market and is looking for a Staff Product Designer for its Global Expansion UX team. You will lead 2-5 designers and own the full product creation process, from ideation to final development, solving customer pain points in a rapidly changing environment. You will work with development, Product Managers, marketing, legal and HR teams and help set up projects, strategies and team processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall design projects while communicating with Business, Engineering and Product teams.
• Proactively establish product vision and roadmap and take a strategic role in decision-making.
• Collaborate with other design leaders to improve processes across Product UX teams.
• Identify and analyze problems in current products and services to set improvement priorities.
• Assure design quality and suggest directions for improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Computer Science, Psychology or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of experience in product design.
• Experience leading other designers in team-level projects and building project strategy and deliverables.
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills.

Required skills

• Excellent portfolio of typography, interaction design, visual design and user research.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Zeppelin or Adobe.
