Sr. Display Engineer, Hardware-Emerging Optics

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Senior Display Engineer to lead the development of advanced display modules for its consumer devices. The role focuses on emerging technologies such as E Ink, LCD, OLED, and microLED, requiring a blend of electrical engineering, optics, and materials expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end development of display modules for consumer electronics.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and manufacturing teams to integrate displays.
• Drive innovation to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
• Conduct electrical and optical characterization, testing, and validation.
• Perform root‑cause analysis to resolve display‑related issues.
• Interface with external suppliers to ensure component quality and timely delivery.
• Document technical specifications, test results, and design reviews.

Required profile

• Strong background in electrical engineering, optics, and display lamination processes.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and test procedures.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams from concept to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
