Sourcing Specialist

About the role

The Sourcing Specialist will join Qualcomm's US Sourcing team to develop and execute supplier strategies that support the company's test roadmap. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable engineering support, optimal lead times, and competitive pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure a robust supply chain.
• Negotiate costs, lead times, and quality requirements, aligning contracts with long‑term agreements.
• Implement cost‑saving initiatives and monitor purchase orders for timely delivery.
• Identify and mitigate supply‑chain risks by creating contingency plans and enforcing quality standards.
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, and planning teams to align sourcing with project timelines.
• Prepare forecasts, track supplier capacity, and support the Supplier Scorecard process.
• Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and drive improvement plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of sourcing or procurement experience in a large matrixed organization (or 4+ years with a high‑school diploma).
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines.
