Software Engineer, Image Processing, Pixel Camera

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to develop Image Signal Processor (ISP) software frameworks for Pixel Camera products. The role focuses on designing and optimizing the end‑to‑end ISP image‑quality and video‑quality tuning pipeline for Android devices, ensuring high performance and intuitive camera experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Architect scalable ISP software frameworks and supporting infrastructure.
• Design and implement the ISP tuning workflow, including automatic systems for IQ/VQ evaluation.
• Develop metrics, models, and integration pipelines for image and video quality assessment.
• Collaborate with AI, hardware, and product teams to deliver end‑to‑end camera solutions.
• Maintain and improve performance, reliability, and usability of camera software across Google devices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience in C++ or Python (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of experience in image processing, computer vision, or computational photography development.
• Ability to work onsite in Taiwan (New Taipei or Zhubei).
