Site Specialist II – Clinical Trial Support

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Site Specialist II to independently manage site support activities for clinical studies. This hybrid position combines office work with occasional site visits, acting as the primary operational contact for assigned sites.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate collection, review, and maintenance of site-level documents, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as the operational liaison for site staff, addressing documentation, system, and process queries.
• Maintain up‑to‑date site status, metrics, and milestones within clinical trial management tools.
• Support planning and logistics for site meetings, investigator meetings, and monitoring visits.
• Identify workflow improvement opportunities and contribute to process‑enhancement initiatives.
• Provide guidance and share best practices with Site Specialist I or junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, business, or related field, or equivalent clinical research experience.
• Relevant experience in site support, clinical administration, or similar roles within CROs, pharma, or healthcare organizations.
• Strong understanding of clinical trial processes, GCP, and site documentation requirements.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
