Senior SOC Analyst (Tier 3) – Global Security Operations

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SOC Analyst (Tier 3) to join our global security operations team in Taipei. The role will act as the internal escalation point for our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) provider, lead complex investigations and ensure incidents are driven to resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the escalation point for MDR‑escalated incidents, lead containment, eradication and recovery activities.
• Conduct deep‑dive investigations, root‑cause analysis and forensic reviews across endpoint, identity, network and cloud environments.
• Review MDR escalations for quality, provide feedback, and partner on QBRs, SLA reviews and detection tuning.
• Perform hypothesis‑driven threat hunting using KQL in Microsoft Sentinel and Defender XDR, and develop custom detection rules.
• Operationalize threat intelligence (IOCs, TTPs) into detections and hunts.
• Support global security projects and audits (NIST, ISO, TISAX) by providing evidence, log extracts and control validation.
• Produce clear investigation reports and technical documentation in English and Chinese.
• Mentor junior analysts and continuously improve SOC playbooks and procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a SOC or security‑operations role handling escalated incidents.
• Proven ability to lead complex investigations and coordinate cross‑functional response efforts.
• Strong written communication skills in English; Chinese language ability is a plus.
• Experience supporting security audits and compliance frameworks such as NIST, ISO or TISAX.
