Security Officer – Multi‑site Operations

About the role

Applied Materials, a global leader in materials science and engineering, is seeking a Security professional to support its multi‑site operations in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The role involves protecting both intellectual and physical assets while ensuring a safe environment for employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Support and enhance multi‑site security operations.
• Maintain and manage security systems, including Access Control and CCTV.
• Conduct sensitive security investigations across sites and provide guidance to other security personnel.
• Develop and communicate updates to corporate investigative procedures and policies.
• Liaise with security professionals, contractors, and local, state, and federal law enforcement.

Required profile

• Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in security discipline and basic knowledge of related areas.
• Understands best practices and how security integrates with other functions.
• Acts as a resource for less‑experienced colleagues and may lead small projects.
• Solves complex problems using judgment from multiple information sources.
• Communicates sensitive information effectively and builds consensus.
