Senior PCB Layout Engineer – AI Server & Power Applications

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems is seeking an experienced Senior PCB Layout Engineer to lead the complete PCB design process for AI Server, Data Center, Networking, Power and Energy Storage applications. You will own the workflow from schematic ECO through manufacturing release and work closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage the end‑to‑end PCB layout workflow, from schematic changes to final manufacturing release.
• Maintain and continuously improve PCB footprint and layout libraries.
• Collaborate with PCB fabricators to resolve engineering queries and manufacturing issues.
• Perform component placement, routing, power distribution optimization, stack‑up planning and complex multilayer routing (8 to 30+ layers).
• Design HDI PCB structures using blind, buried and micro‑vias.

Required profile

• 8+ years of PCB layout experience in power, analog or mixed‑signal designs.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Experience with AI Server, HVDC (800 V), low‑loss materials or multilayer PCB designs is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Cadence Allegro PCB Designer.
• Experience using OrCAD Capture.
• Strong knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
• Understanding of SI/PI, HDI design rules, DFM, DFA and PCB stack‑up planning.
