Senior PCB Designer

About the role

The Senior PCB Designer will lead the design and development of printed circuit board packages, primarily for switched‑mode power supplies. You will work closely with electrical, mechanical and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet customer specifications, internal DFM standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and manage projects for switched‑mode power supply development.
• Create and modify schematics and PCB layouts using Cadence, CAM350 and related tools.
• Collaborate with EE, ME and manufacturing teams to complete design checklists after each layout revision.
• Lead PCB‑related DFM issues, drive resolution across functional teams, and ensure documentation is up‑to‑date.
• Produce change reports, CAD checklists, MVR and Valor reports.
• Support project managers, factories and sustaining projects to guarantee smooth development cycles.
• Build new component PCB blocks following AEI standards and maintain safety/regulatory compliance.
• Review factory DFM reports and close out design issues to achieve passing ratings.

Required profile

• Proven experience with PCB layout programs such as Cadence and CAM350.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (IPC‑2221, IPC‑7351, IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑A‑600F, IPC‑9592, UL‑840).
• Understanding of power‑supply safety, low‑noise layout techniques and dimensional constraints.
• Ability to lead DFM initiatives and work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent documentation and change‑management skills.
