Senior Medical Science Liaison – Cardio‑Kidney‑Metabolic

About the role

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will serve as a scientific bridge between Bayer and the medical community, focusing on cardio‑kidney‑metabolic therapeutic areas. The role involves disseminating scientific data, building long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders, and supporting internal cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with thought leaders to exchange scientific information, clarify study data, and discuss both on‑label and off‑label topics in line with regulations.
• Respond to medical and scientific queries from medical societies and organize advisory board meetings.
• Attend conferences, establish new contacts, and gather competitive intelligence.
• Facilitate investigator‑initiated research (IIR) by acting as the primary contact for investigators and coordinating with internal Bayer teams.
• Identify, profile, and segment thought leaders to support the Medical Affairs strategic plan.
• Support market‑access activities by providing scientific insights for formulary presentations.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in a life‑science discipline (PhD, PharmD, MD) with extensive experience in medical affairs or clinical research.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key physicians, scientists, and academic centers.
• Strong understanding of cardio‑kidney‑metabolic disease areas and related therapeutic landscapes.
