Joint Replacement & Mako Sales Manager, Taiwan

About the role

This position works closely with the Commercial Director to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the Joint Replacement and Mako franchise in Taiwan, leading a team to achieve quotas and increase market share.

Key responsibilities

• Identify market trends and develop sales strategies for JR & Mako consumables and capital equipment in Taiwan.
• Develop new accounts and sales pipeline to grow market share.
• Drive adoption and utilization of Mako and other capital equipment, ensuring sustained clinical usage and revenue growth.
• Onboard and manage Indirect Channel partners while complying with company policies.
• Forecast, monitor and analyze sales performance, initiating corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare reports, analyses and documentation on sales management.
• Collaborate with Marketing to shape long‑term business strategy.
• Integrate territory plans into a broader country sales plan and manage expenses within budget.
• Build and lead a high‑performing sales and clinical support team, providing coaching and development initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biomedical, Medical Science or related fields.
• At least 5 years of sales management experience in the medical device industry, with capital equipment sales experience.
• Proven ability to create and close long capital sales cycles with hospital leadership and procurement.
• Experience working in a regional matrix organization and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Familiarity with Taiwan medical device regulatory and NHI reimbursement environment is a plus.
