Senior Mechanical Engineer – High‑Voltage Power Systems

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems is seeking a highly self‑motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop mechanical systems, enclosures, and components for high‑voltage applications such as inverters, DC‑DC converters, and resonant converters.

Key responsibilities

• Design new mechanical parts, assemblies, and installations for high‑voltage products.
• Perform thermal and mechanical design of server liquid‑cooling modules.
• Produce engineering drawings, reports, material lists and work instructions.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation.
• Interface with customers and suppliers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Prepare statements of work, cost estimates, schedules and other project documentation.
• Collaborate with multi‑region peers across mechanical, application, and product engineering teams.

Required profile

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 6 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Knowledge of server, datacenter, testing equipment, and automotive application systems.
• Project management experience with cross‑functional teams.
• Familiarity with back‑end manufacturing, QA procedures, ISO regulations and safety certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D/3D CAD systems and simulation software.
• Strong analysis skills for mechanical/structural design.
• Sheet‑metal design expertise for power electronics devices.
• Hands‑on experience with SolidWorks.
