Senior I4.0 Analyst, SMAI OI (Scheduling & Simulation)

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Senior I4.0 Analyst for its Smart Manufacturing AI (SMAI) Operations Intelligence team in Taichung, Fab 16. The analyst works on scheduling and simulation projects within the Smart Manufacturing Team, partnering with departments and global manufacturing sites to build end-to-end digital twin solutions that support critical fab decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Host and engage scheduling business processes so that scheduling solutions have a positive impact in Micron fabs.
• Develop business cases, including impact validation approaches, ROI of potential solutions, and prioritize and propose projects for implementation.
• Quantify, track and monitor the financial and operational impact of solutions on the business.
• Break down complex data and processes to identify key levers and applicable solutions.
• Develop high-quality data analytics and applications that give insights and drive action for management and manufacturing teams.
• Work with management, departments and global sites to find optimization opportunities and improve production metrics.
• Drive global collaboration, alignment and benchmarking of scheduling and simulation solutions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of fab operations and experience driving projects.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with people from different cultural backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical approach.
• Willingness to travel overseas.

Required skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or another technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Programming in C#, Python and SQL; experience with Snowflake, GCP and JavaScript.
• Preferred: simulation, factory scheduling, optimization, machine learning and reinforcement learning.
