Senior Technical Staff / Distinguished Member of Technical Staff, Process Equipment Engineering

About the role

Micron Memory Taiwan is seeking senior technical leaders in semiconductor process equipment engineering to join the Evergreen site, reporting directly to site senior management or the VP. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) or Distinguished Member of Technical Staff (DMTS), you will drive innovation, lead technical projects, define the equipment requirement roadmap and mentor engineers, helping develop equipment solutions for high-volume DRAM manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a critical task force and cross-functional technical team for new equipment evaluation or adoption, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Act as technical authority on equipment issues, providing hands-on support or guidance depending on the issue.
• Guide and mentor team members, fostering continuous learning and career development.
• Cultivate an innovative culture and identify equipment improvements aligned with state-of-the-art DRAM requirements while optimizing costs.
• Build a solid understanding of hardware and its role in supporting high-volume manufacturing.
• Provide engineering support to internal team members and senior leaders.

Required profile

• At least 10 years of relevant experience in advanced-node semiconductor equipment.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and drive cross-functional teams to completion.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication, with the ability to influence, motivate and work with multi-functional, multi-cultural teams.
• Track record of delivering innovative solutions.
• An advanced degree in Engineering or Science is preferred; international candidates are welcome to apply.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of semiconductor equipment in at least one area: lithography, dry etch, wet etch, CMP, thin film, diffusion, implantation or metrology.
• Strong understanding of related process engineering.
