Senior Cost Manager – MEP (Data Center Construction)

About the role

As a Senior Cost Manager MEP you will lead cost control for data‑center construction projects, working within a multicultural team at Linesight. You will be responsible for budgeting, cost modelling and commercial risk management, ensuring projects stay within financial targets while delivering value to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse cost reports and present findings to senior management.
• Prepare detailed budgets, cost models and benchmark analyses.
• Monitor project costs, conduct value‑engineering reviews and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Oversee financial close‑out, including vendor settlements.
• Lead commercial change management and evaluate change orders.
• Manage RFP processes through procurement for project services and products.
• Drive commercial risk management and review portfolio cash‑flow and earned‑value analysis.

Required profile

• Extensive cost‑management experience, preferably from a consultancy on large, complex projects.
• Understanding of MEP systems with ability to read service drawings and schematics.
• RICS chartered status or progression towards it.
• Degree in construction, quantity surveying, mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong ownership, accountability and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Chinese is a plus.
