Senior Android Engineer, Futures

About the role

Binance is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to drive the development of its global Futures Android applications. You will work on high‑impact features that serve millions of users worldwide, shaping the future of digital‑asset trading.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new user‑facing features for Binance’s global Android apps.
• Deliver high‑performance, stable, and efficient code with a focus on user experience and elegant design.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship features at scale.
• Integrate and optimise third‑party data sources and APIs for real‑time performance.
• Write and execute unit tests covering edge cases to ensure robustness.
• Troubleshoot issues, fix critical bugs, and continuously improve application performance.
• Participate in technical, architectural, and product discussions, contributing to both short‑term execution and long‑term vision.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Android development experience with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, solid OOP principles.
• Deep knowledge of Android system architecture, component lifecycle, and UI rendering.
• Hands‑on experience with Jetpack (ViewModel, Room, etc.), Retrofit, OkHttp, and MVVM/MVI patterns.
• Proven track record of performance optimisation (memory, layout, battery, cold start).
• Familiarity with tools such as Profiler, Systrace, Perfetto, LeakCanary.
• Experience with WebSocket and real‑time data handling in high‑concurrency, low‑latency scenarios.
• Bonus: experience with Flutter/Compose, large‑app architecture refactoring, or crypto‑exchange domain.
