Retail Trainer – Learning & Development

About the role

The Retail Trainer will lead the identification of training needs across the retail network and design an annual training plan that aligns with business objectives. Working closely with the Head of Retail, the role ensures that both internal and external training resources are effectively utilized to develop employee competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the network’s training needs and create a yearly training plan that matches employee development goals.
• Collaborate with the Head of Retail to allocate budget and resources for the training program.
• Select, negotiate with, and manage external training providers to deliver courses on product knowledge, sales techniques, and corporate culture.
• Design, develop, and deliver training content for the worldwide retail network, adapting materials to regional requirements.
• Monitor training delivery, evaluate satisfaction and practical application, and ensure quality standards are met.
• Coordinate the international integration program to foster a unified corporate culture.
• Support staff development by setting goals, providing direction, and encouraging continuous learning.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a training function within the retail industry.
• Strong planning, organisational, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently, handle ambiguity and take initiative.
• Proven experience facilitating both technical and soft‑skill workshops.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Certified Trainer status is a plus.
• Excellent command of English.
