Representative - Inside Sales

About the role

As an Inside Sales Representative you will engage with existing customers to drive additional sales of Wesco’s products and services. You will use proactive selling techniques, manage orders, and collaborate with the outside sales team to meet revenue targets while ensuring a positive buying experience.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain and process orders via email and phone, verify details, and transfer to fulfillment.
• Suggest related items, explain features, and reference buying history to increase order size.
• Own, qualify, and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
• Identify and implement continuous‑process improvements.
• Prepare, generate, and follow up on quotations, tracking reasons for lost orders.
• Monitor open order reports, expedite at‑risk items, and communicate delivery dates.
• Maintain backorder and expediting reports, notifying customers as needed.
• Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.

Required profile

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2‑4 years of sales and sales‑administration experience.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and clear verbal and written communication.
• Self‑motivated, capable of working independently with general supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
