Project Manager – Operational Excellence

About the role

UBS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive operational excellence within its Taiwan Operating Office. The role focuses on applying lean methodology to identify inefficiencies, design future operating models, and embed sustainable change across wealth management and private banking functions.

Key responsibilities

• Use lean methodology to pinpoint pain points and root causes of operational inefficiencies.
• Design and define future operational states, establishing new ways of working.
• Ensure the sustainability of implemented solutions and support lasting change.
• Champion cultural transformation toward a continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Coach stakeholders on tools and methods that improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert in deploying future‑state processes.
• Collaborate with local and regional partners, including Product, Technology, and Platform teams, to align initiatives with broader strategic roadmaps.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing complex, cross‑functional end‑to‑end initiatives.
• Strong business analysis and problem‑solving abilities to translate needs into clear requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Background or exposure to wealth management / private banking, with understanding of front‑to‑back processes and regulatory considerations in Taiwan.
• Resilient, proactive, and able to navigate ambiguity in a fast‑moving transformation environment.
• Collaborative team player who builds trust quickly and contributes to an inclusive culture.
• Curiosity about leveraging AI to improve workflow design and delivery.
