Product Quality Manager

About the role

The Product Quality Manager (PQM) at Ring leads quality management across the product lifecycle, partnering with engineering, contract manufacturers and component suppliers to embed quality and customer‑centricity from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead contract manufacturer (CM) qualification and manage relationships to ensure compliance with Ring’s quality standards.
• Conduct New, Unique, Difficult (NUD) analyses to assess quality, safety and customer‑experience risks of novel designs.
• Define Critical to Quality (CTQ) parameters and drive systematic risk identification using DFMEA and risk‑tracer mechanisms.
• Implement quality practices such as Out‑of‑Box Audit (OBA), lessons‑learned processes and AI‑powered tools for risk summarisation and issue documentation.
• Monitor post‑launch performance through manufacturing yield, OBA results, Ongoing Reliability Test (ORT), pre‑alert/alert metrics and field returns, using AI‑driven analytics to spot trends and accelerate root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with the Sustaining Product Integrity (SPI) team to translate field data into continuous‑improvement actions.

Required profile

• Experience working with contract manufacturers and component suppliers.
• Ability to engage early with engineering teams and influence design decisions.
• Proven track record of managing quality throughout product development and production.
