About the role
Vantage Data Centers is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to support the health and reliability of its data center infrastructure in Taiwan. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems to ensure continuous, efficient service for hyperscale customers.
Key responsibilities
- Complete maintenance activities with high quality in planning, preparation, execution, and reporting.
- Maintain full reliability of infrastructure, focusing on service continuity, energy efficiency, and budget constraints.
- Utilize the Building Management System (BMS) and conduct regular walkthroughs to monitor power, temperature, humidity, and alarm status.
- Strictly adhere to safe work practices and physical processes for all activities.
- Document daily facility parameters and identify discrepancies or trends.
- Provide hands‑on support for customer needs, including rack installation and decommissioning.
- Supervise contractors to ensure maintenance follows approved Method of Procedures (MOPs) and Vantage’s work rules.
- Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage workflows and spare‑part inventory.
- Achieve and maintain availability targets for data center technical infrastructure.
- Monitor and report load capacities to prevent overload during equipment failover.
- Conduct periodic crisis‑management drills and post‑event analysis to implement mitigation actions.
- Participate in operations and technical compliance audits and ensure timely completion.
Required profile
- Experience working in a data center or critical facility environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance with established procedures.
- Ability to supervise contractors and ensure adherence to MOPs.
- Attention to detail in documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Capability to perform crisis‑management drills and root‑cause analysis.
