Principal Legal Counsel (Litigation and Investigations)

About the role

Coupang is seeking an experienced Litigation & Investigations Lawyer to lead its legal disputes and internal investigation projects in Taiwan. The role will manage civil and criminal litigation, conduct sensitive internal investigations, and provide commercial contract support to protect the company’s interests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and handle civil and criminal litigation cases, focusing on Intellectual Property Rights, consumer protection, and labor disputes.
• Partner with external counsel when necessary and represent the company in court and before prosecutors.
• Lead internal investigations into corporate fraud, corruption, workplace misconduct, and trade secret misappropriation.
• Review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial contracts to mitigate legal risks.
• Develop and improve investigation protocols and advise senior management on dispute prevention and risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of litigation experience.
• At least 4 years of experience at a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of court and prosecutor procedures with hands‑on courtroom experience.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and collaboration skills.
