Metrology Member Technical Staff (MTS, OMT)

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring a Metrology Member Technical Staff (MTS, OMT) at its Taichung fab. You will support several process engineering and integration teams by developing and optimizing metrology methods to improve yield, quality and cost efficiency. The role also covers inline detection and control, supplier engagement and detection performance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and optimize process conditions and technologies to improve capability and reduce cost.
• Drive process management projects, introduce new technologies and Best Known Methods (BKM).
• Evaluate and introduce new equipment and functionality through demo, H2H and TOR evaluation.
• Lead detection strategies (IV/IC), systems and methods to strengthen detection capability and support yield improvement.
• Share BKM on RAM detection performance, cost and supplier engagement across sites.
• Lead problem-solving analysis and corrective actions in task forces, and collaborate with global peers (HVM/TD) on strategy and roadmaps.
• Influence DOC2 / TOR specs to include HVM pain points, and work with TD and Global Procurement on supplier competitiveness and cost.
• Track and analyze fab performance metrics, establish business processes, and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Over 10 years of experience.
• Relevant experience in Metrology.
• Prior experience working with or at other sites.
• Ability to solve problems across multi-functional groups and to lead and coordinate global teams across cultures and time zones.
• Good English and good communication skills.
