Materials Planning Manager

About the role

As a Materials Planning Manager you will be responsible for planning and procuring critical advanced‑package materials such as substrates, HBM memory components and interposers. You will translate wafer and die output plans into actionable buy plans, work closely with sourcing and supply‑chain partners, and ensure material availability aligns with production schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own the Materials Buy Plan for advanced packaging components.
• Partner with Sourcing to secure supplier allocation splits and flag capacity gaps early.
• Produce a monthly materials forecast for suppliers and present status in the Supply Review.
• Create executive summaries highlighting risks, required actions and support needs.
• Collaborate with Master Scheduling, Foundry Planning and Procurement to balance supply, cost, expiry and excess/obsolete exposure.

Required profile

• 2+ years of materials planning experience in semiconductor assembly or a similar environment.
• Strong analytical and data‑modeling abilities to convert demand and capacity inputs into feasible supply plans.
• Experience managing supplier relationships, purchase orders and forecasting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Excel‑based planning tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business or equivalent.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
