Legal Entity Controller – Associate

About the role

Join Morgan Stanley's Global Corporate Controllers team as a Legal Entity Controller (Associate). You will be responsible for the integrity of the legal entity’s general ledger, financial disclosures, and regulatory submissions, supporting business units worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the financial close process and perform analytical reviews.
• Monitor key metrics for regulated entities, including capital usage and regulatory ratios.
• Prepare and submit legal entity regulatory reports to authorities such as TWSE, Taifex, and SFB.
• Produce legal entity financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
• Collaborate with Tax department and external tax agents on corporate, business, and withholding tax filings.
• Handle daily trade reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Generate entity‑level reports for governance forums (Board of Directors, Taiwan Executive Committee, etc.).
• Partner with internal and global stakeholders on initiatives and projects.
• Conduct regulatory impact assessments and user‑acceptance testing for new reporting systems.
• Review, evaluate, and streamline processes and control frameworks to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Required profile

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with high standards for quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and collaborate across regions.
• University degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar industry.
