Lead Business Controller

About the role

ABB is seeking a Lead Business Controller to act as a strategic finance partner for a specific business unit. You will guide local finance teams, provide insight‑driven recommendations, and help shape the division’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to define and translate strategy into measurable financial plans.
• Drive business planning, forecasting, and cross‑functional initiatives that support strategic goals.
• Implement and monitor global financial standards and internal controls.
• Ensure transparent financial reporting, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Maintain high‑quality financial data, oversee closing schedules, and provide timely insights to internal customers.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of experience in financial controlling, business controlling, or management accounting.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, analysis, and dashboard creation for senior management.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
