Group Finance Accountant – Accounting & Tax Specialist

About the role

The Group Finance Accounting position is responsible for delivering accurate financial bookings on a daily basis while supporting the finance manager in ensuring efficient operations. The role leads month‑end and year‑end closing activities, oversees tax compliance, and coordinates financial audits and ad‑hoc projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead closing consolidation, including sales‑COGS reconciliation, voucher and accrual reviews, corporate income tax estimation, inter‑company reconciliation, and account aging reports (30%).
• Manage tax matters such as VAT, withholding tax, tax authority inquiries, and Country‑by‑Country Reporting (20%).
• Prepare HQ reporting, monthly results, and quarterly/annual disclosures (15%).
• Review statutory and tax reports, including financial, tax, and transfer pricing reports (10%).
• Act as primary contact for auditors during annual and mid‑term audits (10%).
• Conduct risk management activities: accounting risk assessment, tax compliance review, and internal audit of GL & tax (5%).
• Assist in budgeting processes, including annual budget preparation and monthly forecasting (5%).
• Handle ad‑hoc projects and assignments as required (5%).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in an accounting firm and over 6 years in accounting overall.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual ability preferred.
• Proven ability to coordinate finance projects and work under competing deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with solid internal‑control knowledge.

Required skills

• SAP proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with full‑cycle accounting, GL and tax accounting, and local tax regulations.
