Frontend App Developer

About the role

The ASUS Robotics & AI Center is seeking a Frontend App Developer to join its global research and development team. The role designs and builds responsive, high-performance cross-platform mobile and web applications for customers, with a focus on real-time data visualization, mission planning and low-latency streaming.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mobile and web UIs for visualizing maps, location and status data for robotics use cases.
• Design and implement interfaces for creating, editing and automatically generating robotic mission plans.
• Implement and optimize low-latency video and telemetry streaming for mobile and web clients.
• Integrate applications with embedded hardware and on-device systems such as GPS/GNSS and custom radios.
• Reduce latency in real-time data feeds by working with backend and robotics teams.
• Follow modern development best practices, keeping architecture clear and code clean and tested.
• Work directly with customers on requirements gathering, debugging and UX improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years developing production mobile and/or web applications.
• Proven hands-on experience with Flutter and/or React Native for cross-platform development; React or Next.js experience for web apps is highly valued.
• Deep understanding of mobile app store submission, launch and update processes.
• Strong grasp of authentication and authorization, and UI design tools such as Figma.
• Knowledge of coding standards, design patterns, source control and test automation.
• Familiarity with application telemetry (A/B testing), cloud infrastructure (GCP, Azure or AWS) and CI/CD.
• Experience with GPS-based navigation, coordinate systems and geospatial visualizations is a significant plus.
